Syndeia 3.5 SP1 release

🎉 Syndeia 3.5 SP1 is the latest release of Syndeia that takes our journey to supercharge Syndeia for the enterprise to the next level. It is a cumulative release and not a patch.

• Syndeia 3.5 SP1 downloads are available from 2623-SepFeb-20222023.

• Syndeia users with an active subscription can request downloads on our helpdesk (see Support below).

• If you are interested to evaluate Syndeia 3.5 SP1, open an evaluation request on our helpdesk (see Support below).

Installing Syndeia 3.5 SP1

For new Syndeia Users

• Deployment Architecture

  • Syndeia includes the Syndeia Cloud web application and Syndeia clients. Refer to Syndeia Architecture to get an overview of Syndeia deployment architecture.

  • For production deployment, we recommend the following.

    • Deploy Syndeia Cloud and use the Web Dashboard

    • Deploy Syndeia clients, i.e. Syndeia plugins for SysML modeling tools (e.g. MagicDraw/Cameo, Rhapsody), or Syndeia Standalone.

    • Use Syndeia Cloud as the backend for Syndeia clients. See Cloud mode.

  • For evaluations, we recommend the following.

    • Follow the same approach as for production deployment. It is best to evaluate what you will be using in production.

    • Alternatively, users can just install and use the Syndeia clients (MagicDraw/Rhapsody plugins) without Syndeia Cloud. See Local mode. This approach is good for learning about the model transformation capabilities of Syndeia but is not a scalable and recommended approach for production deployment.

• Downloads

  • Open a request on our helpdesk to request an evaluation

  • Once approved, links to Syndeia Cloud and Client downloads will be made available in our response to your request.

• Syndeia Cloud Installation

  • Refer to the Syndeia Cloud Deployment guide - Deployment

  • Use the Automated Deployment method if you want to get up and running with Syndeia quickly with the default configuration.

Follow the steps in this guide to upgrade your Syndeia Cloud installation.Note: Just for your reference, there is a new Automated Deployment method to get up and running with Syndeia quickly with the default configuration. This is useful if you plan to do a fresh deployment of Syndeia Cloud 3.5 on a machine. For upgrading to Syndeia Cloud 3.5, use the migration guide referenced aboveSP1) and check the different scenarios (3.5 → 3.5 SP1, or 3.4 SP3 → 3.5 SP1).
