  1. Launch MagicDraw as an administrator. On Windows 10, you can right-click the MagicDraw icon and select Run as Administrator. On other operating systems, ensure that you have administrative privileges to install software.
     
  2. Go to Help > Resource/Plugin Manager.

  3.  Click on the Import button (as shown above) and select the plugin installation zip file that you downloaded, e.g. Syndeia_3.01_for_MagicDraw.zip.

  4. If you are installing Syndeia for the first time, you will see a message indicating that the installation will finish upon restarting MagicDraw. If you are installing Syndeia on top of your existing Syndeia 23.0 installation, you will see a message indicating that Syndeia 23.0 will be removed and Syndeia 3.0 1 will be installed upon starting MagicDraw. 

  5. Close MagicDraw.

  6. Go to the Syndeia for MagicDraw plugin installation folder: <Your MagicDraw Installation>\plugins\com.intercax.syndeia.md, e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\MagicDraw\18.0\plugins\com.intercax.syndeia.md

  7. Copy the Java library folders assembled in section 2.3when configuring integrations , such as libTC, libWC, libMySQL, libNX, amd and libCreo, to this folder as shown in Figure 12 below. Note that you will need library folders for ONLY only those repositories / tools that you will be connecting to using Syndeia and for which you have a Syndeia license. The libDOORS, libSimulink, and libIJIDE folders are automatically installed with Syndeia.

  8. Setting up Syndeia license – Copy the Syndeia license file that you obtained from us to the .syndeia folder in your user directory. If you do not have a .syndeia folder, create one in your user directory. If you have problems creating the .syndeia folder using Windows explorer or Finder (Mac), create it using the command window or terminal. 
    1. On Windows 10, your user directory is this would be C:\Users\<Your User Account>\.syndeia 
    2. On Mac OS X, create .syndeia folder under your user home directory.this would be /Users/<Your Account>/.syndeia 
    3. On Linux (Ubuntu), create .syndeia folder under the Home folder of the user.this would be /home/<Your Account>/.syndeia 

  9. Restart MagicDraw as an administrator, similar to step 1. 

  10.  Go to Help > Resource/Plugin /Resource Manager and check if Syndeia 3.0 1 is installed, as shown below in Figure 13.

  11. Go to Options > Environment. Select Plugins (as shown below) and click on the Provider column header to sort the plugin list by the Provider.

    Check

      Under the Loaded and Enabled headers, verify that the Syndeia

    plugin is loaded and enabled (true for both columns)

    MagicDraw is set both to true, as shown

    in Figure 14
