The Users menu is visible to the following users:

  • Super User (super.user) - default (super) admin created during Syndeia Cloud deployment.

  • Any user with Admin role. See the Roles section in Global Privileges.

  • Any user with USER CREATE or USER MODIFY privilege. See the Global Permissions section in Global Privileges.

Syndeia Cloud supports three main types of user authentication, as also presented under the User Management Post-Deployment Optional Application Configurationsection in Syndeia Cloud deployment.

  • Local Authentication: Authenticating users created and managed natively in Syndeia Cloud, aka Local Users.

  • LDAP Authentication: Authenticating users managed by the LDAP provider that is configured with Syndeia Cloud.

  • SSO Authentication: Authenticating users managed by the SSO Identity Provider (IdP) that is configured with Syndeia Cloud.

Note, LDAP or SAML2 users are currently always shown using their (primary) email address in the Users table.

(info)When Syndeia Cloud is configured to use your enterprise LDAP or Single Sign On (SSO) IdPs, users and their authentication are managed by those services. However, authorization (user privilege management) for those users is managed in Syndeia using the Web Dashboard. Refer to User Management - Privileges under this section for details.
