The Repository Manager is used for creating network connections to multiple repositories/servers, as shown in Figure 21. In this version of Syndeia, 7 types of repositories are supported—DOORS-NG, GitHub, JIRA, Local File System / Shared Drive, MySQL, Teamcenter, and Windchill.

Figure 21: Repository Manager

The Repository Manager has 3 main panels—Repository List Panel (LHS), Repository Content Panel (RHS), and the Log Panel (Bottom)—as also shown in Figure 21. The Repository List Panel shows all the connected repositories, the Repository Content Panel shows the contents of the repository selected in the Repository List Panel, and the Log Panel shows log messages during Syndeia operation. The repositories in the Repository List Panel are categorized by the following repository types:

  • DOORS – lists all the DOORS-NG servers that you are connected (or can connect) to
  • GitHub – lists all the GitHub servers that you are connected (or can connect) to
  • JIRA – lists all the JIRA servers that you are connected (or can connect) to
  • Local File System Repositories – lists hard drives, including shared drives, accessible from the computer where the SysML tool and Syndeia are installed
  • MySQL Repositories – lists all the MySQL servers that you are connected (or can connect) to
  • Teamcenter Repositories – lists all the Teamcenter servers that you are connected (or can connect) to
  • Windchill Repositories – lists all the Windchill servers that you are connected (or can connect) to

The specific repository categories you will see on the Repository List Panel are subject to your Syndeia license. For example, if you have a Syndeia license for MySQL and Teamcenter repositories, then you can view/connect to: Local File System Repositories, MySQL Repositories, and Teamcenter Repositories. In the Repository List Panel, if you select a specific repository category, such as Windchill Repositories, or the top-level Repositories node, you can see a summary of all repositories (under that node/category) in the Repository Content Panel. For example, a summary table of all repositories is shown in the Repository Content Panel when the top-level Repositories node is selected in the Repository List Panel (Figure 22). The summary lists the name, type, URL, and user name used for connecting to each repository.

Figure 22: Repository Content Panel also shows a list of repositories in the category selected in the Repository List Panel.

When a user closes the Syndeia Dashboard, the live connections to all the repositories are terminated. When a user re-launches the Syndeia Dashboard, he/she can re-connect to the repositories by either: (1) selecting them in the Repository List panel of the Repository Manager, or (2) selecting them in the Repository Panel of the Connection Manager (Figure 63).
