Syndeia 3.2 automatically upgrades all the repository and connection information for your existing models created using Syndeia 3.0. These models were created by using Syndeia in local mode. Follow the steps below for each of your SysML models which used Syndeia 3.0.
- Create a backup copy of the model so that you have a version of it from Syndeia 3.0.
- Install Syndeia 3.1, as outlined in the installation section, and use the default local mode.
- Open the model in MagicDraw.
- Right click on any element in the model tree and select Syndeia > Dashboard.
- This will launch the Syndeia Dashboard, as shown below.
- Expand the log window and you will see messages, as highlighted below. The messages indicate that the repository information in the .syndeia folder in your user directory and the connection information stored in the SysML model were identified to be in an older format (Syndeia 3.0). They have been converted to the new Syndeia 3.1 format.
- Close the Syndeia Dashboard. This will save the connections in the new format in the SysML model and the repository information in the .syndeia folder of your user directory.
- Save the model and close.
- Open the model again and launch the Dashboard. This time you will not see the upgrade messages as above. Use the Connection Search tab to get all connections and check if they have been loaded successfully.
