The objective of this page is to provide you with key pointers to get started with Syndeia.
What is Syndeia?
Syndeia is the Digital Thread platform for Model-based Engineering. Refer to the following for a quick introduction.

Syndeia 3.6 SP1 release
🎉 Syndeia 3.6 SP1 is the latest release of Syndeia. It is a cumulative release and not a patch.
Learn about the powerful new features and improvements:
Syndeia 3.6 SP1 downloads are available from Oct 21, 2024.
Syndeia users with an active subscription can request downloads on our helpdesk (see Support below).
If you are interested to evaluate Syndeia 3.6 SP1, open an evaluation request on our helpdesk (see Support below).

Installing Syndeia 3.6 SP1
For new Syndeia Users
Deployment Architecture
Syndeia includes the Syndeia Cloud web application and Syndeia clients. Refer to Syndeia Architecture to get an overview of Syndeia deployment architecture.
For production deployment, we recommend the following.
Deploy Syndeia Cloud and use the Web Dashboard
Deploy Syndeia clients, i.e. Syndeia plugins for SysML modeling tools (e.g. MagicDraw/Cameo, Rhapsody), or Syndeia Standalone.
Use Syndeia Cloud as the backend for Syndeia clients. See Cloud mode.
For evaluations, we recommend the following.
Follow the same approach as for production deployment. It is best to evaluate what you will be using in production.
Alternatively, users can just install and use the Syndeia clients (MagicDraw/Rhapsody plugins) without Syndeia Cloud. See Local mode. This approach is good for learning about the model transformation capabilities of Syndeia but is not a scalable and recommended approach for production deployment.

Downloads
Open a request for Syndeia 3.6 SP1 downloads on our helpdesk with your existing license and Contract ID.
Once approved, links to Syndeia Cloud and Client downloads will be made available in our response to your request.
Syndeia Cloud Installation
Refer to the Syndeia 3.6 SP1 upgrade guide at Upgrade (3.5 SP2 -> 3.6 SP1 , 3.6 -> 3.6 SP1) and check the process for upgrading your Syndeia Cloud 3.5 SP2 / 3.6 deployment to 3.6 SP1.
