Syndeia Licensing

Syndeia is licensed by annual subscription based on the number of concurrent client users. All licenses include both client and Syndeia Cloud software with all current tool interfaces.

License Types

Syndeia licenses are available in two types and procurement methods depending on your scale and needs:

1. Floating Licenses

• Licenses "float" between users and are not locked to specific users

• Requires a license server (ILS) to host and manage licenses on your network

• Users check out a license when actively using Syndeia (plugin, web dashboard, API)

Pointer File: Each client machine and Syndeia Cloud server needs a pointer file (ends in .lic) to locate the license server:

2. Node-Locked Licenses

• License is locked to a specific machine identifier (MAC Address)

• Commonly used for evaluations and small deployments

• No license server required

Evaluation Licenses

• Free 30-day node-locked evaluation licenses

• Includes all commercially available tool interfaces

• Request through helpdesk

• Provide MAC address for client and/or server

• Request an evaluation license
