The Digital Thread Projects page in the Syndeia Web Dashboard shows all Digital Thread Projects accessible to the signed in user. Specifically, these are the projects where the signed in user has at least READ privileges. Refer to Digital Thread Project Privileges to learn more.

The Digital Thread Projects page is accessible from the Digital Thread Projects menu image-20240421-194230.png in the main menu bar, as shown in Figure 1 below.

The following controls are available on the Digital Thread Projects page.

View all Digital Thread Projects

Scroll down the page to load all Digital Thread Projects accessible to the signed in user. Click on the Refresh button image-20240421-210800.png on the top RHS of the table (Figure 1) to reload all Digital Thread Projects accessible to the signed in user.

Open a Digital Thread Project

Click on the hyperlinked name for any Digital Thread Project to open the Digital Thread Project Dashboard for that project. Refer to Digital Thread Project Dashboard to learn more.

Search Digital Thread Projects

Click on the search buttonimage-20240421-190015.png on the top RHS of the table (Figure 1) to search for specific Digital Thread Projects accessible to the signed in user. You can search by name or key of Digital Thread Projects, as show in Figure 2 below.

  • Search by Name: Type the text (e.g. Space) contained in the name of Digital Thread Projects and click on the Search button.

  • Search by Key: Type the exact key of the Digital Thread Project (e.g. S2404B) and click on the Search button.

The Digital Thread Projects table will be updated with the search results, as shown in Figure 3 below. The search filters applied will be shown on the top RHS of the table.

Create a Digital Thread Project

(1) Click on the Create button on the top RHS of the table (Figure 1) to create a new Digital Thread Project. This opens the Create Digital Thread Project dialog, as shown in Figure 4 below.

(2) Provide the following information.

  • Name - Name of the new Digital Thread Project.

  • Description - Description of the new Digital Thread Project.

  • Key - Unique human identifier for the new Digital Thread Project (e.g. EV2404). It cannot be changed after the project has been created. It has the following constraints, as also shown in Figure 4 below.

    • Unique and Non-modifiable

    • 3-10 Alphanumeric characters

    • Letter characters should be in ALL CAPS (general convention)

(3) Click on the Create button in the dialog. This action will create a new Digital Thread Project and open the Digital Thread Project Dashboard for that project. Refer to Digital Thread Project Dashboard to learn more.

Digital Thread Projects can be created by users who have the CONTAINER_CREATE Global Permission assigned. Refer to the following pages to learn more:
