Stage 3 - Download Packages

Objective

  1. Download Syndeia Cloud software.

  2. Verify checksums of downloaded files.

The steps below make the assumption that they will be performed on a local workstation. It may be possible to perform these steps directly on the target server if you have the necessary permission/ACLs, but precisely how to do that is outside the scope of this document.

If you are following the offline process mentioned in Upgrade (3.5 SP2 -> 3.6 SP2, 3.6 -> 3.6 SP2) then you should have already performed the actions described in these steps. In this case, you can continue on to stage 5.

Prerequisites

  1. Target server was cloned successfully from the source (3.5 SP2 / 3.6) server.

  2. Verification steps in the previous stages have passed.

Steps

Download Syndeia Cloud Zip Files

  1. Download .ZIPs from the password protected links provided in the Intercax Helpdesk ticket where you originally requested your Syndeia Cloud license. Precisely how this is done is outside the scope of this document.
    Filenames for each are as follows.
    Note, these may be nested inside parent .ZIP file(s), ie: Syndeia-Cloud-3.6-SP2.zip, so you may need to extract the parent .ZIP file(s) first.

    • syndeia-cloud-3.6-SP2_cassandra_zookeeper_kafka_setup.zip

    • syndeia-cloud-3.6-SP2_janusgraph_setup.zip

    • syndeia-cloud-3.6-SP2.zip

    • cassanalyze-0.2.2022-09-06.zip

Verification

  1. Run the following commands to output the MD5 checksums for the downloaded Syndeia Cloud Zips.
    Linux:

    openssl md5 syndeia-cloud-3.6-SP2_cassandra_zookeeper_kafka_setup.zip openssl md5 syndeia-cloud-3.6-SP2_janusgraph_setup.zip openssl md5 syndeia-cloud-3.6-SP2.zip

    Windows

    certutil -hashfile syndeia-cloud-3.6-SP2_cassandra_zookeeper_kafka_setup.zip MD5 certutil -hashfile syndeia-cloud-3.6-SP2_janusgraph_setup.zip MD5 certutil -hashfile syndeia-cloud-3.6-SP2.zip MD5

  2. Compare the outputs of these commands against the checksums provided in the file suffixed with _all_hashes.md5.txt. If they differ, please try downloading them again. If this does not resolve the discrepancy, please contact helpdesk support. Example:
