Connecting to Syndeia Cloud using OAuth

Refer to the sections below to set up Syndeia for OAuth connection and authorize it.

  1. Follow the instructions for Configure Cloud Mode but select OAUTH for Authentication Protocol as shown in Figure 1. The Username and Password settings will not be used in this case. Click Apply.

  1. Next, launch the Syndeia Dashboard: Right-click a package in the MagicDraw Containment Tree and select Syndeia > Dashboard, as shown in Figure 2 below.

  1. The Select or Create Digital Thread Project dialog should open, and a second dialog OAuth Sign In should be shown as in Figure 3 below with a Verification URI and Activation Code.

  1. Click Sign In to visit the specified Verification URI for your configuration in your system default browser. You should see the Activate your device screen with the same Activation Code as in Figure 4.

  1. Click Next and then Sign In to your account using either Username or PIV / CAC card as shown in Figure 5 and follow the necessary steps to verify access.

  1. Once authorized, you should see the Device activated message as shown in Figure 6. In a moment, Syndeia should verify the activation and show the Select or Create Digital Thread Project dialog now populated with Digital Thread Projects the authorized account has access to, as in Figure 7.
