Syndeia plugin can be used in two modes - cloud mode or local mode, as described below. We recommend users to use the cloud mode. The local mode is primarily meant for new users to evaluate Syndeia.

Cloud Mode

In this mode, the Syndeia plugin is backed by Syndeia Cloud. All Syndeia project information is stored and version managed on Syndeia Cloud. Follow the steps in the section below to configure Syndeia plugin in cloud mode.

Local Mode

In this mode, Syndeia information is stored locally, either in the SysML model or in the .syndeia folder of the user's home folder (e.g. C:\Users\<YourAccount>\.syndeia on Windows or /Users/<YourAccount>/.syndeia on Mac). Project-specific information, such as connections between SysML artifacts  and non-SysML artifacts, is stored in the SysML model. Repository information, shared across projects, is stored in the .syndeia folder.

Follow the steps in the sections below to configure Syndeia to use in local or database mode.
