As of December 2021, there is no release of Apache Kafka for Windows that resolves the Kafka Logs issue.

Meanwhile, Intercax advises its users to host Syndeia and peer services on Linux RedHat or CentOS operating systems. Those organizations that elect to use Windows nevertheless should be prepared to have to proactively idle and then restart Apache and Syndeia services to afford Kafka exclusive time to clean up its logs - without loss of log data.
