Permanent or Eval(uation) Licenses

A Node-Locked license is one which is tied to a specific host and does not require a license server. Evaluation licenses are generally Node-Locked and for 30-days (longer durations are available but need approval).  The overall process requires three steps:

  1. Obtain Node-Locked License(s):  Provide Intercax with details of your license deployment (ie: features, MAC address, , server name, ports, etc.) to obtain license file(s) for client machines.
  2. Client Setup:  Install Syndeia client on your host machine.
  3. Client License File Installation:  Install provided license in your .syndeia folder in your user/home directory

Pre-reqs Required to Generate a License

A single Node-Locked license file will be issued for each product (e.g. Syndeia). This license file will be located on the license server. The following information is required from you (end user organization) for us to generate a floating license file (* = required).

  1. Features or other options*: The license will give access to the features and other options requested here, ie: JAMA, JIRA, GitHub, MySQL, SIMULINK, TC, WC, etc.
  2. Client MAC Address*:  Permanent (ie: Ethernet) MAC address of the machine where the client software will run (note, please avoid providing MAC addresses of virtual of pseudo network devices, ie: VPN, as they are usually temporary).
  3. Total # of Licenses*:  Number of node-locked licenses needed. Eval licenses quantities > 1 (within reason) are available upon request.
  4. Platform*:  Platform where the client host will run (ex:  Windows (32/64-bit) v8, 10; Linux RHEL/CentOS v6.4; Mac OSX v10.13, etc.).

Provide all the information above in a Helpdesk License Request ticket and we will process the request accordingly.
