Deployment Methods

In this section, the Syndeia Cloud deployment methods are presented. There are two main deployment methods for Syndeia Cloud.

  • Automated Deployment

    • What is it - In the Automated Deployment method, Syndeia admins will run scripts that download and configure Syndeia Cloud + infrastructure components - Cassandra, JanusGraph, Kafka, and Zookeeper. There is also an option to run the automated scripts to only download and then install later. This is useful when working in an air-gapped environment.

    • Best suited for

      • Quickstart to get up and running with Syndeia Cloud quickly with the default configurations and settings

      • Single-node deployment, i.e. Syndeia Cloud and all infrastructure components are deployed on a single machine

  • Semi-Automated Deployment

    • What is it - In the Semi-Automated Deployment method, Syndeia admins will download Syndeia Cloud + infrastructure components - Cassandra, JanusGraph, Kafka, and Zookeeper - and then configure and start them individually.

    • Best suited for

      • Single or Multi-node deployments

      • Advanced configuration and settings

Syndeia admins must use either the Automated Deployment or the Semi-Automated Deployment method.
