Creating a Reference Connection.
Creating a Reference Connection.
- The objective of this exercise is to demonstrate how to create a connection between pre-existing model elements in the SysML and repository. Currently, only a Reference connection can be created in this way.
- Create a SysML project including the Syndeia profile and at least one block (e.g. Alpha).
- Launch the Syndeia dashboard from Alpha and add a repository to the project. We will use a Local File System Repository, although this would also work with a PLM or database repository. From the Syndeia Dashboard, Repository Manager, right-click on Local File System Repositories and select Add… The LHS image shows how to add a user-selected name and the root path.
From the Connection Manager tab, the local file repository contents can be displayed, as in the RHS image. Select the "Reference" option in the Connection Type (middle) panel, and drag-n-drop the SysML element (Alpha) to the repository element (e.g. jpeg image), or vice versa.
- Refresh the Connection Browser tab and expand the Alpha SysML element to see the connection created, as shown below.
