Troubles… and likely answers.
My Cameo or Rhapsody users cannot obtain a Syndeia License when the modeling tool starts.
The necessary Syndeia Client License File on that workstation is absent.
The necessary Syndeia Client License File is on the workstation but in the wrong folder
The necessary Syndeia Client License File is on the workstation in the right folder but has the server license content
The necessary Syndeia Client License File is on the workstation in the right folder but has the wrong license server
The necessary Syndeia Client License File is on the workstation in the right folder but has the wrong server port
The Intercax Reprise License Manager is offline
The Intercax Reprise License Manager isn’t installed
My Intercax Reprise License Manager isn’t running
The server for that license manager is offline
Work with the greater IT team to get the license server’s host (or container node) back online
The Intercax Reprise License Manager isn’t installed
The OS is failing to start the service
Work with your Linux or Windows Administrator SME to determine why an installed system service is failing to start.
Everything seems proper but the clients can’t reach the server
The network between the client workstations and the license server is blocking or altering traffic
Use routine network health tools to determine if hosts are reachable, ports are open, HTTPS sessions are established, traffic can flow both ways
Work with your Networking SME to determine why routine clients like curl, ping, netcat, telnet, and openssl client cannot communicate bidirectionally between the troublesome workstation and the license server host
I just don’t know what to do
