User Management - Privileges
The user privilege management capabilities of the Syndeia Web Dashboard are presented on this page and its child pages.
Syndeia Cloud uses the following terms related to user authorization.
Permission: Action that can be performed by users
Role: Group of permissions that can be assigned to users.
Privilege: Assignment of Permissions or Roles to Users
There are two categories of permissions available in this release:
Global Permissions: Permissions that can be assigned to users for using the general capabilities of Syndeia, especially working with resources that are shared and used across all Digital Thread Projects. Refer to the sub-section Global Privileges to learn more.
Digital Thread Project Permissions: Permissions that can be assigned to users for reading, authoring, and managing Digital Thread Projects in Syndeia. Users working with Digital Thread Projects will need a combination of Global and Digital Thread Project permissions. Refer to the sub-section Digital Thread Project Privileges to learn more.
