The Repositories menu in the main menu bar provides capabilities to connect, browse, search, and navigate external repositories that participate in Digital Thread Projects. Users can perform the following operations.

• View all Repositories, organized by Repository Type.

• Add a new Repository.

• Tree View - Browse Repository containers, artifacts, and relations in the Tree View, as shown in Figure 1.

• Graph View - Navigate Repository artifacts and relations in the the Digital Thread Explorer (Graph View), as described in Digital Thread Explorer (DTE).

• Details tab - View details of any selected artifact or relation in the Repository.

• Search tab - Search artifacts in a Repository using different search criteria.

• Relations tab - View intra-model (within repository) relations, as shown in Figure 1 for BOM relations for Propulsion Subsystem (Part/Item number 000569, version A.1)

• Repository management is available in two places on the Syndeia Web Dashboard - Repositories menu (as shown here) and Digital Thread Project Dashboard → Workspace menu (see Repositories - Digital Thread Project).

• Repository management available via the Repositories menu (as shown here) is primarily meant for connecting, browsing, searching, validating, and exploring external repositories, independent of Digital Thread Projects. Hence, only the intra-model (within repository) relations are shown in the Relations tab (Figure 1).

• Repository views in a Digital Thread Project Dashboard show both the intra-model and inter-model relations owned by the given Digital Thread Project. Refer to the following to learn more - Repositories - Digital Thread Project.
