SysML v2 Repositories

In this section, the Syndeia Web Dashboard capabilities for SysML v2 API-based repositories are presented.

Add a SysML v2 Repository

(1) Click the Repositories icon in the LHS menu pane.

(2) Select SysML in the list of Repository types on the LHS and click on the + icon to add a new SysML v2 repository, as shown below.

(3) Fill out the details for your SysML v2 server (repository), as shown below, and click the Create button.

  • URL - Base URL of your SysML v2 repository.

  • Name - Name of the SysML v2 repository. Provide a unique name to distinguish this SysML v2 repository from others you may add.

  • Description - Description of the SysML v2 repository

  • Authentication type - Basic (default)

  • Username - Username to sign in to your SysML v2 repository.

  • Password - Password to sign in to your SysML v2 repository.


Browse a SysML v2 Repository

(1) Expand the SysML v2 repository after it has been added.

(2) If your repository details are correct, Syndeia Cloud will try to sign in to the SysML v2 repository and display Projects, as shown below:

(3) Commits - Expand a SysML v2 Project to view Commits in that Project. Expand a Commit to view root elements in the Project at that Commit.

(4) Elements - Expand an Element, starting with the root Element in a Commit, to view groupings of Incoming relations and Outgoing relations to and from that Element respectively.

(5) Relationships - Expand the Incoming relations group to view all incoming Relations to that Element. Expand the Outgoing relations to view all outgoing Relations from that Element.


Search a SysML v2 Repository

Search capabilities using the standard SysML v2 API are not available in this release of Syndeia.

The Digital Thread Explorer for SysML v2 will show both intra-model Relations between Elements, and inter-model Relations created using Syndeia, e.g. relations between SysML v2 Elements and requirements (Jama Connect or DOORS NG), test cases (TestRail), software modules (GitHub), hardware models (PLM/CAD), or other artifacts in your digital thread.
