Teamcenter settings

SysML Generation Type

The type of SysML element generated when items / item revisions are dragged-and-dropped from Teamcenter repository to a SysML package. The two current options are BLOCK and ACTIVITY. If BLOCK is selected, then a block structure (blocks and part properties) will be generated from the Teamcenter item structure (BOM). If ACTIVITY is selected, then an activity structure (activities and call behavior actions) will be generated from the Teamcenter item structure (BOM).

Revise items when updating

If checked, Syndeia will revise items when updating them during sync operation. For example, item revisions will change from A.1 to B.1. If unchecked, Syndeia will iterate items when updating them during sync operations. For example, item revisions will change from A.1 to A.2.

Select this option to generate SysML dependencies from Teamcenter trace links (or Teamcenter trace links from SysML dependencies) when Teamcenter items / parts / requirements (or their revisions) are used to generate SysML blocks / activities / requirements structure (or SysML blocks / requirements are used to generate Teamcenter item / requirement structure). For a SysML block / activity / requirement, only outgoing dependencies are used to generate trace links in Teamcenter; and for Teamcenter item / part / requirement, only outgoing trace links are used to generate dependencies. SysML dependencies include plain dependency as well its specializations such as satisfy, verify, refine, trace, and allocate.

Generate SysML Dependencies and Trace Links Recursively

If this option is selected, then SysML dependencies (or Teamcenter trace links) are generated not only for the top-level SysML block/requirement (or Teamcenter item/part/requirement) but for all blocks (or items/parts/requirements) in the structure. The term top-level implies the SysML block/requirement generated for the Teamcenter item/part/requirement that was dragged-and-dropped from Teamcenter repository to a SysML package (and vice versa).

If this option is selected, then Syndeia will generate the other end of a SysML dependency when generating a dependency (or other end of a trace link when generating a trace link) if it does not exist. If this option is unchecked Syndeia will not generate dependencies (or trace links) if the other end does not already exist.

S Value for opening a Teamcenter object in rich client

The S value is used for constructing a URL for a Teamcenter object in the Syndeia Dashboard so that it can be opened in the Teamcenter rich client installed on the user's machine. To get the S value for your Teamcenter client / server installation, right click on any Teamcenter object in your rich client, copy it, and paste in a text editor. The S value can be seen after the -s string in the URL. For example, the S value is 226 for the example URL shown below.

FMS URL

Specify the URL for the Teamcenter File Management Service (FMS) required for uploading files to Teamcenter as datasets.

Active Workspace Port

Specify the port to use for Active Workspace.

Active Workspace Path

Specify the entire path for viewing Teamcenter items in Active Workspace. For example, if the Active Workspace URL for a Teamcenter item is the following: http://myTeamcenter.myOrg.com:7011/awc/#com.siemens.splm.clientfx.tcui.xrt.showObject;uid=RkBAAQ5s4Sm2LB, then the path to specify in this setting would be the following: awc/#com.siemens.splm.clientfx.tcui.xrt.showObject;
