Getting Started - Web Dashboard

Follow the steps below to get started with Syndeia Cloud Web Dashboard.

(1) After Syndeia Cloud is installed, you can access the Syndeia Web Dashboard from a web browser using the Syndeia Cloud URL provided by your Syndeia administrator, e.g. https://syndeia.myOrg.com:9443. This should open the Syndeia Web Dashboard Landing Page, as shown in Figure 1 below. The Syndeia Cloud Landing Page shows the different sign in options.

• Syndeia Cloud Landing Page shows the version of Syndeia Cloud that you are accessing from the Web Browser.

• Syndeia Cloud Web Dashboard URLs include /web in the path after the host address, e.g. https://syndeia.myOrg.com:9443/web

(2) Syndeia Cloud provides three different sign in options, as shown in the figure below.

• Local - Use this option if your account is created locally / natively in Syndeia Cloud. Provide your username and password and click on the Sign In button.

• LDAP - Use this option if your Syndeia Cloud installation is configured with your organization’s LDAP server. Provide your LDAP username and password and click on the Sign In button.

• Single Sign On (SSO) - Use this option if your Syndeia Cloud installation is configured with your organization’s SSO Identity Provider (IdP). Click on the Single Sign On (SSO) button and complete the authentication with the IdP.

Your Syndeia Cloud administrator will provide you specifics on the sign in option to use. If you are the Syndeia administrator, refer to the Deployment Guide on User Management for configuring Syndeia Cloud with these three forms of authentication.

(3) After successful sign in, you should see the Home Page of the Syndeia Web Dashboard, as shown in Figure 3 below. The Home Page shows you two key elements:

• Main Menu Bar shows menus for navigating the Syndeia Web Dashboard capabilities. See next step for details.

• Global Dashboard shows Digital Thread Analytics and Digital Thread Projects. Refer to Home - Digital Thread Project to learn more.

(4) A summary of the menus shown in the Main Menu Bar is presented below.

• Home menu - Access the Home Page of the Syndeia Web Dashboard that shows the Global Dashboard. Refer to Home Page - Web Dashboard to learn more.

• Digital Thread Projects menu - Access the Digital Thread Projects page that shows all Digital Thread Projects that are accessible to you. Refer to Digital Thread Projects - Web Dashboard to learn more

• Repositories menu - Access the Global Repositories Management page that shows all the repositories connected to this Syndeia Cloud server. Refer to Repositories - Web Dashboard to learn more.

• Graph Queries menu - Access the Global Graph Queries page. Refer to Global Graph Queries - Web Dashboard to learn more.

• Users menu - Access the User Management page. Refer to User Management - Web Dashboard to learn more.

  • This menu requires elevated privileges for user management. You will not see this menu if your account does not have those elevated privileges.

• Help menu - Access the sub-menus for Syndeia documentation, tutorials, API, and Help Desk. Refer to Help - Web Dashboard to learn more.

• My Profile menu - Access the sub-menus for your profile and to sign out of the Syndeia Web Dashboard. Refer to My Profile - Web Dashboard to learn more.
